Allergen immunotherapy (also termed hyposensitization therapy, immunologic desensitization, hyposensibilization, or allergen-specific immunotherapy) is a form of immunotherapy for allergic disorders in which the patient is vaccinated with increasingly larger doses of an allergen (substances to which they are allergic) with the aim of inducing immunologic tolerance. Allergen specific immunotherapy, or allergy injections, is the only treatment strategy which treats the underlying cause of the allergic disorder. It is a highly cost-effective treatment strategy which results in an improved quality of life and a reduction in allergic- and allergen-related asthma, as well as a reduction in days off school/work. Immunotherapy has been shown to produce long-term remission of allergic symptoms, reduce severity of associated asthma as well as reduce the chances of new sensitization to allergens developing.

  • Immunotherapy is long lasting

  • Most effective for pollen, dust, and dander

It’s hard to appreciate the ways an allergy injection can improve your standard of living. These are conditions that make people uncomfortable for days, weeks, months, and sometimes even years at a time. And, while a bout of hayfever every summer may not seem like much of a big deal, it can quickly become much more serious when the condition never ends.

As part of our mandate to provide relief from allergies, asthma, sinus problems, and chronic coughs, allergy injections are a great way to find relief. For modern treatments and expert customer service, get in touch with us today, and let us help you own your allergies and reclaim your standard of living!

And remember: we’re here to help you feel better.
